Back in 1978, I didn't know this, and I resent that this fact was suppressed during the hostage situation. I totally resent that this was not made commonenough public knowledge so we could know why the hostages were seized, and the Shaw overthrown IE. why the Iranians were so pissed at the US. I also didn't understand, and I still don't today, understand the outright contempt the Iranians had for carter who has since won a Nobel Peace Prize.
